Vietnam to impose fine for not wearing masks

Vietnam has taken strict measures to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country and international organisations have hailed the measures taken. The country’s government has decided to impose steep fines on those who disregard the mandate to wear masks all the time, no matter where.

Those who fail to comply with the government’s directive will incur a fine of up to $13.00.

Both the World Health Organization and the United States have praised Vietnam for taking quick measures and responses to curb the pandemic.

Vietnam has mandated the use of masks by all Vietnamese and foreigners at all public places and has been distributing free masks at airports and train stations to those not in hold of it.

According to the Ministry of Health in Hanoi, no deaths related to coronavirus have been reported as of April 1, but 212 cases have been tested positive.
