US Department of Commerce grants Oklahoma $1 Million in Economic Development Administration Funding

The United States Department of Commerce awarded $1 million in Economic Development Administration (EDA) funding to 24 states on Thursday.

The money is part of a $3 billion American Rescue Plan fund to help communities across the country rebuild local economies that have been harmed by the coronavirus pandemic.

EDA’s Statewide Planning initiative, one of six programmes designed by EDA to divide the $3 billion evenly, has invited all 59 states and territories to apply for a $1 million grant. In the coming months, the remaining funds will be distributed.
