UAE central to India’s extended neighbourhood, says External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar

Taking a special interest in the India-UAE bilateral relationship, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said the two nations share a fast-growing relationship. Adding further, he also said that the Gulf country is central to India’s extended neighbourhood.

“India and the UAE share a fast-growing relationship. The UAE is central to India’s extended neighbourhood. We see the UAE on the crossroads of international trade. As Singapore is in the East, the UAE is in the West,” reiterated the Foreign Minister. “It is a relationship where the highest leadership of both countries have invested goodwill and energy. As a result, you can see the transformation during the last five years,” he added.

Welcoming the normalisation of diplomatic ties between the UAE and Israel, the Minister said that the pool of opportunities has been opened up for the country as it shares very good terms with both the nations.
