Tunis Air becomes the first foreign carrier to resume flights to Libya

Tunis Air has become the first foreign carrier to resume flights to Libya, Two flights landed at Tripoli and Benghazi airports in Eastern Libya on 17 May according to the Central Department of Communication and Foreign Relations 

The Tunisian company’s last flight to Libya was in August 2014. 

As per report in the Libya Herald, Flights were initially scheduled for 27 April but were postponed until 15 May due to the increased rate of spread of the Coronavirus in Tunisia. 

Tunis Air had confirmed on 13 April that it was to resume of flights to Libya as of 27 April. Initially, there were to be three weekly flights from Tunis Carthage airport to Tripoli and two weekly flights to Benghazi. 

As of 14 May, these were to increase to seven weekly flights to Tripoli and three weekly flights to Benghazi.
