The G20 meeting to be held on April 15

The Finance Ministers and the Central Bank Governors of the G20 block is to hold a meeting on April 15.

Breaking the traditional norms of being held on the side-lines of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group Spring Meetings in Washington D.C., the G20 April meeting will be held virtually.

Witnessing the global crisis, the G20 block meeting will also focus on the discussions and urgent actions needed to fight back the COVID-19 outbreak.

The G20 meetings because of the crisis situation and frequent developments in the same are being held quite frequently because of the feasibility and accessibility of video conferencing.

The last meeting of the Finance Ministers and the Central Bank Governors of the G20 block was held on March 31. Therein they agreed on a road-map to respond to COVID-19.

The April 15 meeting will focus on steps to be taken to fight back the global pandemic.
