Reviewing the bilateral relations and measures that could be taken to enhance co-operation in various fields of existing strategic partnership as well as, a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE’s Armed Forces, and President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephonic conversation.
The telephonic conversation, focused on measures to be taken so as to tackle the COVID-19 crisis as well as expanded its arena to involve discussion on the negative repercussions on the health and economic conditions in the world as a result of it.
They have committed to take co-operative measures to deal with the threat posed by COVID-19, between the UAE and Uzbekistan. Sheikh Mohamed emphasised that the world is living in a moment of real test in the history of mankind amidst the COVID-19 crisis and expressed UAE’s solidarity with and support for Uzbekistan and the rest of the world.
Similarly, Uzbekistan President expressed his pride for the relationship between the two nations and praised the efforts taken by Sheikh Mohamed in developing a consensus of international solidarity.
