Tear gas fired at pro-democracy protestors in Myanmar

The Myanmar police resorted to filing tear gas and rubber bullets against the pro-democracy protestors in the country in the capital Yangon.  However, the protestors refused to budge off and regrouped after each round of police firing.

This news comes even after the United Nations Human Rights Office((OHCHR) has condemned the “escalating violence” and called for an immediate end to the use of force against pro-democracy protestors in Myanmar.  The OHCHR strongly condemned the escalating violence against protests in Myanmar and called on the military to immediately halt the use of force against peaceful protestors.

Police also dispersed protests in Mandalay, the country’s second-largest city, on Tuesday.
