Six Taliban militants dies in Afghan airstrikes in Kunduz province

In an official statement, the Ministry of Defence said that at least six Taliban militants were killed and 10 others wounded as fighter planes bombarded Taliban hideouts in the northern Kunduz province on May 20.

The statement added that the fighter planes threw bombs on the Taliban militants’ hideouts in two restive Imam Sahib and Dasht-e-Archi districts and the reserve of weapons and ammunition had also been targeted and destroyed in the air raids.

The statement of the Ministry of Defence said that during the operation no military personnel or civilians were harmed.

The Taliban who have been active in the restive Kunduz province over the past couple of days have so far not commented yet.
