Reopening of schools postponed in Madagascar

Madagascar has postponed the reopening of schools in light of the resurgence of the COVID-19 cases. The country’s cabinet said schools would remain closes until further notice.

The Council of Ministers where the decision was taken preferred to qualify it as an extension of vacation instead of simply talking about closure.  Normally, students  were expected to return to class on April 19, but with the resurgence of Covid-19 cases in the country, the recovery was uncertain and disruptions predictable .
