Ivory Coast’s electoral commission has said that President Alassane Ouattara has overwhelmingly won a third term in office. Ouattara received 94.3% of the vote in Saturday’s election, the commission said early Tuesday. Turnout was 53.9%, according to election officials, while the opposition has maintained only 10% of Ivorian voters took part. The result has to be confirmed by the Constitutional Council.
Presidential elections were held in Ivory Coast on 31 October 2020.
