Speaking on the occasion to mark the anniversary of the end of the 1950-53 Korean War, which fell on July 27, Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), said that nuclear deterrence will permanently guarantee national security.
This has been reported by the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on July 28.
The celebration to mark the anniversary of the Korean war was accompanied with a reception for veterans.
During his speech in the event, Supreme leader Kim Jong Un iterated that the fierce struggles with enemies have continued since the Korean War and that pressure from imperialists has also increased.
The KCNA reported Kim saying, “Thanks to our reliable and effective self-defense war deterrence, there will no longer be war on this land and our national security and future will be firmly guaranteed permanently.”
