Électricité de France (EDF), one of the world’s major power sector companies, and National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to investigate prospective power project development prospects in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa. EDF is located in Paris, France.
The MoU would document EDF’s, France’s, and India’s largest power company, NTPC’s, cooperation in investigating power project development potential in mutually beneficial regions such as the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
Globally, the two firms will work on information sharing, R&D, technical services, and consulting projects.
EDF and NTPC will collaborate to investigate the feasibility of developing power projects in countries of mutual interest, as well as share knowledge and technical skills. The parties will also look at collaborating on technical services, such as international consulting assignments, and exploring the idea of collaborating on renewable energy pilot programmes.
