Myanmar military launches air strikes near Thai Border

The Myanmar military junta has launched air assaults into rebel-held territory near the border with Thailand. 

A gunfire was heard from Mae Hong Son province, a Thai official said Wednesday. 

These airstrikes were launched after a rebel Karen ethnic group in Myanmar claim that they captured a Myanmar army base,  near the country’s border with Thailand, A spokesman for the Karen National Union (KNU) said that the group on 27th April attacked the base at 5 a.m. and burned it down.
