Joe Biden’s makes first calls to foreign leaders in form of Trudeau and Obrador

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexico President Manuel López Obrador were the first two leaders to whom the new President of the United States Joe Biden made the first phone calls. According to the Associated Press, (citing a senior official),  Biden told Trudeau that  his executive order halting construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline was a follow on his campaign pledge 

Mexican President López Obrador said in a statement that the conversation with Biden was “friendly and respectful.” The two discussed immigration and COVID-19, among other issues.
