Japan to impose strict quarantine measures

Japan has been taking several strict measures to contain the spread of the pandemic COVID-19 and has advised its people to take social distancing and self-quarantine quite seriously.

As a recent addition to the measures taken by the Japanese government, all international travellers have been advised to practice self-quarantine for two weeks.

With regard to the additional quarantine measures, all overseas travellers, including Japanese citizens, would be asked to refrain from using public transport during the self-isolation period so as to curb the spread of the virus.

The government will allow Japanese citizens to return from restricted nations, but authorities will administer tests upon their arrival.

Earlier Japan has imposed entry ban to 73 countries and territories that includes the United States, Canada, China, South Korea, most of European countries while some parts of South East Asia.
