Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has said that the prosecutors on June 12, will be questioning him over the way the Coronavirus outbreak was handled in the northern Italian city of Bergamo.
It must be noted that the city is one of the areas worst hit by the deadly virus outbreak.
The prosecutors want to know why these adversely affected areas were not shut down in the early stage of the outbreak of novel Coronavirus. They have already interrogated the regional governor of Lombardy, which includes Bergamo, and Lombardy’s health chief, in regard with the same.
“I am not at all worried,” said the Italian Prime Minister adding, “We will speak on Friday and I will pass on all the facts I am aware of.”
