Israeli army attacks Hamas site in Gaza Strip

On May 6, a monitoring military sites belonging to the Islamic Hamas movement has been attacked by the Israeli army in the central and northern Gaza Strip.

The attack is said to be a counter-response to the rocket attack fired earlier from the Palestinian enclave.

Palestinian security sources said, “Israeli artillery targeted monitoring sites of al-Qassam brigades, the military wing of Hamas in the central and northern Gaza Strip, causing huge damages”.

While on the part of the Israeli side confirming the same, a press statement of the Israeli army read, “Our tanks bombed three military sites of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, in response to a rocket fired from the strip.”

The press statement also added that a handmade Palestine missile was launched from the coastal enclave into Israel that landed in an open area without causing injuries or damage.
