Israeli air raids kill nine fighters in Syria: Syrian Observatory for Human Rights

In the Israeli air raids on June 4, at least nine fighters loyal to the Syrian government lost their lives and several others remain seriously wounded.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that of those killed, four were Syrians and the attack took place in the Hama province a central region controlled by the Syrian army and Iranians.

The war monitor added that those killed were either “part of the regime forces or (allied) Iranian forces”.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights presented probability of increase in death toll pertaining to serious injuries inflicted on other fighters.

Syrian forces fired anti-aircraft systems in response to the deadly Israeli attack in Hama, the Observatory reported.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ Chief, Rami Abdel Rahman said that the target was a factory and research centre producing short-range surface-to-surface rockets.
