Iranian President Hassan Rouhani slams arch-foe Israel after assassination of one of Tehran’s prominent nuclear scientists

Blaming its arch-foe Israel for assassinating one of Tehran’s prominent nuclear scientists, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani on November 28, accused the Jewish state of acting as a “mercenary” for the United States.

Informing about the incident, Iran’s defence ministry on November 27, said, Fakhrizadeh was “seriously wounded” when his car was targeted by the assailants before being engaged in a gunfight with his bodyguards in an attack outside Tehran.

Referring to the killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Rouhani in a statement on his official website, said, “Once again, the wicked hands of the global arrogance, with the usurper Zionist regime as the mercenary, were stained with the blood of a son of this nation.”
