Iranian Parliament approves bill that will suspend U.N. inspections of its nuclear facilities

Iran’s parliament has approved a bill that would suspend U.N. inspections of its nuclear facilities. The bill also stipulates that Iran government can boost its uranium enrichment if European signatories to the 2015 nuclear deal do not provide relief from oil and banking sanctions.

Parliament Speaker Mohmmad Baqer Ghalibaf was quoted by state TV as saying lawmakers were “hopeful to remove sanctions through this stern decision.”

The bill’s approval comes after the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh .
