Iranian Foreign Minister visits Syria to discuss topics of mutual concern

To keep up with the friendship between Iran and Syria, Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif is on an official visit to Syria for talks with Syrian officials on topics of mutual interest. He went to Syria on April 20.

The reports released on April 19 stated, “During the one-day trip, Zarif will meet with Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad and Syrian Foreign Minister, Walid al-Muallem, to discuss bilateral relations, regional developments, as well as, the latest political developments in Syria’s fight against terrorism”.

In order to help its all-weather friend Syria, Iran has dispatched military advisers to the country so as to help Syrian army fight the militants. Iran is Syria major ally in its fight against the rebels.
