Indonesia enters into vaccine deals with Pfizer, AstraZeneca

Budi Gunadi Sadikin, the Health Minister of Indonesia has said that the country has entered into a process of finalising deals with drugmakers Pfizer and AstraZeneca for procuring COVID-19 vaccine 

1.3 million front-line health workers would  be given a priority  in the vaccine drive.. “They are the most important group of people in our battle against the pandemic,” the Minister  said. 

The deal with AstraZeneca would be finalised before year-end, while an agreement with Pfizer would be signed in the first week of January 2021.
