India’s NSA takes part in high-level trilateral maritime dialogue in Sri Lanka

India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, on November 28, took part in the high-level trilateral maritime dialogue in Sri Lanka. The dialogue is being held among India, Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Sri Lanka is holding the fourth trilateral meeting on maritime security cooperation. The meeting is being held after 6 years and the last meeting was held in New Delhi in 2014. Having arrived in Colombo on November 27, India’s NSA Mr. Ajit Doval met Maldivian Defence Minister Mariya Didi, discussing ways to deepen bilateral partnership with the key island nation in the Indian Ocean.

The High Commission of India in Colombo, took it to the micro-blogging site Twitter and said, “The trilateral meeting among India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives on maritime and security cooperation gets underway.” Adding further, it said, “Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister and Leader of the House-Parliament, Dinesh Gunawardena, was the chief guest at the event.”
