India to begin operating additional flights to Sydney

Amid the central government’s phase five of unlocking the nation, Indian, on October 7, announced that it will start operating additional flights from New Delhi to Sydney between October 10 and 14.

Taking it to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Air India announced the same and tweeted, “Air India will operate additional flights from Delhi to Sydney between 10th & 14th October 2020.” Adding further, it said, “Limited seats available due to quarantine restrictions by Australian Authorities. Booking will open today at 1600 hrs (IST) through AI Website, Booking Offices and Call Centre.”

It must be noted that India, in order to contain the spread of the Coronavirus infection, suspended all scheduled commercial passenger flights in March after the government imposed a nationwide lockdown.
