India records over 67,000 COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, recovery rate more than 76%

With more than 67,000 COVID-19 cases and 1,059 new fatalities recorded in India in the last 24 hours, the national total of the COVID-19 infection, since the start of the pandemic has reached to 32,34,474 cases along with 59,449 deaths, said the Union Health Ministry.

Adding further, it said that with 24,67,758 patients having recovered from the infection in the country, the recovery rate stands at  76.29 per cent.

While Maharashtra that accounts for 7,03,823 cases remains the hardest-hit in the pandemic, the situation for Delhi is changing as the city recorded 1,544 fresh cases, the highest spike in the last 40 days. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called a high-level meeting in order to discuss the situation.
