India has dealt with worst crisis and border along China with “firmness and maturity”

Despite facing the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, India has firmly and maturely dealt with the “worst crisis” in decades along its border with China, said Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla on October 29, during his address at a leading think-tank in Paris, Institut Français des Relations Internationales.

Speaking further, he also talked about the major geo-strategic issues, saying that even the immediate challenges have not been able to distract India from broader strategic goals. The country is moving purposefully at multiple levels in the Indo-Pacific Region to create an “open, inclusive architecture”.

It is to be noted that Mr. Shringla is on a week-long tour of France, Germany and the UK and his visit to France comes as the country grapples with terror attacks.
