IAF Commanders to conduct a comprehensive review of India’s air defence system

In a three-day conference beginning on July 22, the top commanders of the Indian Air Force are scheduled to conduct a comprehensive review of the country’s air defence system.

After the recent escalation of tension with China over eastern Ladakh, the Indian Army will definitely remain extra vigilant at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh to prevent Chinese troops from intruding on Indian territories, said sources, adding further that the Indian Army is all set to take strong steps to prevent infiltration of Chinese troops along LAC.

“The commanders will review the emerging security situation in the area and discuss ways to increase the combat capability of the IAF,” a Commander said.

During the three day conference, the IAF commanders are also likely to discuss the possible deployment of the first fleet of Rafael fighter jets in the Ladakh region amid the border dispute with China, said the military sources.
