Grammy Awards show to go ahead as planned, say organisers

The organizers of the annual Grammy Awards on Wednesday, June 10, said that despite the Coronavirus epidemic that has sidelined multiple cultural events across the world, the next Grammy Awards show would go ahead as planned in January 2021.

After claims that nominations for the highest honours in the music industry were rigged, the organisers announced stricter rules according to which the members of the committees that nominate artists for the Grammys are required to declare in advance whether they have any financial, family or other ties to artists being considered.

Former Chief Executive of the Recording Academy, Deborah Dugan filed a complaint in January alleging that the Grammy nominations process is tainted.
