G7 countries condemn attack on protestors in Myanmar

The G-7 countries have condemned the attacks on the those protesting against the coup and the restoration of a democratically elected government in Myanmar. 

Use of live ammunition against unarmed people is unacceptable. Anyone responding to peaceful protests with violence must be held to account,” statement from the G7 foreign ministers said 

The G7 also urged the military to “exercise utmost restraint and respect human rights and international law.” 

The Group of Seven (G7) is an intergovernmental organization consisting of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
