Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Gulf Cooperation Council focus on Promoting Peace and Security in the Gulf Region

Following the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC foreign ministers meeting with the Egyptian foreign minister, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry and GCC Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf.

The Saudi Kingdom is keen to ensure the Gulf region’s safety and security and has stressed the necessity of collaborative action between GCC states and Egypt in order to create prosperity for their peoples.

Egypt also contributes significantly to regional and global peace and security.

The discussion focused on regional trends and long-standing Gulf-Egyptian ties, as well as seeking political solutions to ensure regional and international peace and security.

Only by solidarity, cooperation, and closer political and economic links will we be able to face and overcome problems and maintain Arab security. The joint ministerial meeting aids in the promotion of peace and sustainable development, as well as the realization of Arab and Islamic nations’ goals.
