In the early morning of December 27, an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred in the Elazig province of Turkey. According to Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), earthquake occurred at 9:37 a.m. local time a depth of 15.95 kilometers (9.91 miles).
Turkey’s Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu tweeted there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
