Defence policy bill that calls out Chinese aggression against India gets US Congress’ nod

The USD 740 billion defence policy bill that calls out Chinese aggression against India along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) has been approved by the US Congress.

It is to be noted that since May this year, India and China have been involved in a military standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh and no conclusion has been reached out even after several rounds of talks.

On December 15, the US House of Representatives and the Senate gave their nod to the National Defence Authorization Act (NDAA) that includes major components of Indian-American Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi’s resolution language that urges the government of China to put an end to its military aggression against India along the LAC.
