RC Europe, a Czech developer, plans to build a 500 million kuna ($75 million/66 million euro) distribution and logistics centre in Croatia.
The city council of Samobor approved a new urban plan last month as a condition for the creation of a new industrial zone – Bobovica.
As a result of the city’s direct support, RC Europe was able to begin preparing documentation for the construction of the centre, which will have 83,000 square meters of storage space with a net height of 12 meters, making it suitable for logistics and production activities.
Samobor is close to the A3 freeway and is near the Croatian capital of Zagreb. A total of 800 warehouse jobs are planned to be created as a result of the project. The construction work is planned to be completed between 2023 and 2024.
RC Europe has operations in the Czech Republic, Romania, and Serbia at the moment.
