Chinese Foreign Minister urges China and US to restart dialogue and get the bilateral ties to the right track

Asserting that the United States has frequently intervened in China’s internal affairs on different issues, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that the western nation has hurt China’s interest, causing the bilateral ties between the two to spiral downward and hit a low point since 1979.

During his address to a virtual meeting in Beijing with Asia Society held on December 18, Wang discussed the future of China-U.S. relations and said, “China-U.S. relation is now reaching such an important moment to shape the future and he urged both sides to restart dialogue, return bilateral relations to the right track and rebuild mutual trust.”

Adding further, he said that both the sides should have mutual respect for each other and should not have any interference in each other’s internal affairs.
