China extends aid to Palestine; Officials calls Chinese efforts as “exemplary”

Applauding the experience of China in fighting the pandemic COVID-19 as “exemplary”, the Palestinian government’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Milhem said, “China has become a leading example in medical relief for poor countries that have been hit by this virus”.

China after controlling the pandemic to a significant extent has been extending its hand to support countries worldwide. For supporting the Palestinians in their fight against COVID-19, Ibrahim Milhem expressed his gratitude towards China.

Adding further he said, “We appreciate the Chinese efforts in helping the world amid this global humanitarian crisis through their help to Europe and to us”.

Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas foreseeing the crisis to come as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic declared a state of emergency in the country on March 5. The first case of COVID-19 was discovered in the West Bank city of Bethlehem. Palestinian government has imposed a 14-day complete lock-down on the West Bank on March 22 as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of the pandemic.
