A bomb has exploded in an armoured vehicle south of Bir al-Abd city in the Northern Sinai region, in Egypt that has taken the lives of ten Egyptian army members.
The attacks responsibility has not been claimed by any group immediately but the militants loyal to Islamic State are active in the strategic border region.
The news has been confirmed by a military spokesman. The number of casualties might increase.
Earlier on April 14 an Egyptian policeman and seven suspected militants were killed in an exchange of gunfire after the Ministry of Interior received information about potential Easter attacks against Coptic Christians.
