Nigeria has witnessed the violence of the bandits that has claimed the lives of at least 47 people.
Per the reports from the local police as well as the statement from the Presidents office confirmed the killing of 47 people in coordinated attacks against several farming villages in Katsina State, northern Nigeria by a group of bandits.
A spokesman for President Muhammadu Buhari, confirmed the attack in a statement condemning the gunmen as “bandits”.
Gambo Isah, the Spokesperson of the Police said, men on motorbikes carried out “organised and simultaneous attacks” on the villages of the Katsina State in the northern Nigeria.
He added that the organised raids were conducted in targeted villages of the Dutsenma, Danmusa and Safana districts.
Several policemen and soldiers have been deployed in the area for additional security.
