Azerbaijan and Armenia invited for talks in Moscow

In a move to ease the ongoing tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, the foreign ministers of both the nations have been invited to take part in the talks in Moscow on October 9, said Kremlin citing Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In a statement it was said, “Following a series of telephone discussions between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the president of Russia calls for a halt to military actions in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”

Adding further, the statement read, “In order to hold consultations on those issues, mediated by the Russian foreign minister, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia are invited to Moscow on October 9.”
