Austrian Foreign Minister tests positive for Coronavirus

Quoting the ministry’s spokesperson on October 17, the reports said that Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

Currently, the Minister has not shown any symptoms of the viral infection, said the spokesperson. Adding further he said that Schallenberg is suspected to have been contracted the infection at a recent meeting with his European Union counterparts in Luxembourg that took place on October 12.

As Schallenberg has tested positive for COVID-19 and as a precautionary measure, all members of the Austrian government will undergo tests.
