Austrian authorities were warned that Vienna attacker tried to get ammunition across border in Slovakia, says Austrian Interior Minister

Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer has said that Austrian authorities were warned that the individual who carried out the attack in the capital city Vienna, Kujtim Fejzulai, was trying to get ammunition across the border in Slovakia.

Having confirmed the attempted purchase of ammunition, Slovakian police said that they have brought the information to the attention of the Austrian authorities immediately.

Meanwhile, Nehammer has said that an independent commission would look into the matter and carry out investigation to see what may have gone wrong.
