Army foils attempt to push in arms and ammunition by Pakistan from LoC

The Army has prevented an attempt by Pakistan to push in arms and ammunition from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir. During this, the army recovered a cache, including four AK-74 rifles, the officials stated.

Confirming the same, an Army Official said, “Alert troops foiled Pakistan’s attempt to push in arms across the LoC in Keran Sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.” adding further he said that the Army noticed suspicious movement across the Line of Control where two-three men were transporting some items in a tube tied to a rope across the Kishenganga river.

The trrops reached the location immediately and recovered four AK-74 rifles, eight magazines and 240 rounds concealed in two bags, following which the area has been cordoned off and a search operation in underway.
