Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pasniiyan has said that the army may be planning an attempted coup against him and take control of the country.
The army “must obey the people and elected authorities,” he told thousands of supporters in the capital Yerevan. His opponents held a rival rally
It may be mentioned that the army released a statement calling publicly for Pashniyan’s resignation. “The ineffective management of the current authorities and the serious mistakes in foreign policy have put the country on the brink of collapse,” the army’s general staff and other senior military officials said in a statement.
