The body of Seoul’s Mayor, Park Won-soon who had been reported missing by his daughter on Thursday, July 9, was found on Friday, July 10, confirmed South Korean Police early today.
After a massive search of more than seven hours, the police found his body in the hills in northern Seoul. A huge figure in South Korean politics, Park, the Mayor of Seoul, was a former human rights lawyer who led two of South Korea’s most influential civic groups.
T must be noted that as per South Korean television and radio network company SBS news, a former secretary of Mayor had filed a complaint of sexual harassment against Park before his disappearance, which the police have not confirmed so far.
The sudden demise of the Seoul Mayor has caused an outpouring of public sympathy with his supporters shouting slogans like “We love you” and “We are sorry”.
