Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince and Jordanian king discusses measures to counter COVID-19

In the wake of the augmenting threats of the COVID-19 outbreak and to discuss measures of joint efforts to be taken so as to counter the pandemic, King Abdullah of Jordan held a telephonic conversation with Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates’ Armed Forces.

On the telephonic discussion, King Abdullah and Sheikh Mohamed stressed the importance of maintaining coordination between the two countries on all issues. They even discussed the humanitarian and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ongoing support extended to Jordon to fight back the pandemic COVID-19 by the UAE attracted the appreciation of King Abdullah.

Taking of the deep-rooted ties between Jordon and the UAE, King Abdullah also stressed Jordan’s readiness to provide any assistance needed by the people of the UAE.

The issued statement stated that both King Abdullah and Sheikh Mohamed exchanged best wishes on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
